Lex Bouter is currently involved in teaching at the VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands and research regarding responsible conduct of research. In 2017 he organized and co-chaired the 5th World Conference on Research Integrity in Amsterdam. He is the author or co-author of 683 scientific publications indexed in the Web of Science, which have been cited more than 48,000 times (WoS h-index of 122 and Google Scholar h-index of 155). He has supervised 74 PhD students, of whom to date 14 were appointed as professor.
