We welcome you to take part in a conference that strives to present and discuss the plurality of approaches to the scholarly PUBlishing and assessment (METrics) and new trends in the scholarly publishing area. The PUBMET2017 conference will present innovative approaches, best practice discussions and take on future challenges. The organizers aim to maintain lively discussion among experts in various fields involved in scientific publishing and dissemination of knowledge. The field of scholarly publishing and metrics includes all disciplines and variety of skills: researchers from different research areas, information specialists and librarians, editors, publishers, educators and students, policy makers and managers contribute to this field of investigation. The Organisers of the PUBMET2017 Conference invite you to submit Abstract or Extended abstract for oral or poster presentations. All submitted Extended Abstracts will be reviewed.
The Summaries of the accepted Extended Abstracts will be printed in the programme booklet. Extended Abstracts and optional Full Papers will be published online, in the conference proceedings and/or different journals.
Submission can be in the form of:
Abstracts: Should have approximately 200 – 400 words, plus references
Extended abstracts: Should have approximately 400 – 1000 words, plus references.
Full papers (optional): Should have approximately 3000 – 4000 words, plus references.
Posters: Should have approximately 1 500 characters (300 words), plus references. Proposals for posters that showcase current work are invited from researchers, repository managers, administrators, developers and practitioners. Authors will have an opportunity to give short presentation of their poster during conference, and attendees will have a chance to discuss the presented work during the poster reception. Posters will undergo a double-blind review. Award will be given for the best poster.
The size of the poster should be maximum 70 x 110 cm.
All proposals should follow guidelines and use templates available at PUBMET2017 website (http://pubmet.unizd.hr/pubmet2017/). Submission should be made using the EasyChair submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pubmet2017)

Important Requirements
Presenters of accepted abstracts must register for the Conference by the early-bird deadline (1 August, 2017), otherwise they will not be included in the programme. Each presenting author is responsible for his/her registration fee(s) as well as travel and accommodation costs. Presenters who are unable to attend the PUBMET2017 conference can arrange for a co-author to present.
If changes to your presentation are necessary according to possible review comments or due to change of presenter, you can make them in the online abstract submission website until 10 July. You can do this by logging into the system with your username and password and choosing the abstract, which you want to modify.
All submissions must be in English that is the official language of PUBMET2017 Conference. The
abstract submission system will be re-opened after the review process and revised Extended Abstracts and optional Full Papers can be uploaded. Extended Abstracts and optional Full Papers will be published exactly as submitted.
Notification of Acceptance
Notification regarding Extended Abstract acceptance/rejection will be sent to the corresponding author by 20 June, 2017.
